A state and federal requirement for every individual seeking entrance to an Indiana-licensed nursing home.

Area IV provides invaluable services for eight counties across Indiana. We are helping those who need it most, but we can't do it alone! Area IV is able to offer its programs and activities in large part because of your generous contributions. Whether you are better able to donate time or funds, or both, Area IV appreciates your help in perpetuating a tradition of compassion, service, and care.


Intern

Interns: We welcome the opportunity to work with students studying to be professionals in many different disciplines. Internship opportunities range from Case Management to Wellness, Event Planning and more. Student Interns assist the agency's mission by providing hands-on assistance to staff who are responsible for the numerous programs in which Area IV administers.


Volunteer

Volunteer:The Area IV Volunteer Program is proudly serving the elderly and disabled of all ages in the Benton, Carroll, Clinton, Fountain, Montgomery, Tippecanoe, White, and Warren Counties. Our Agency's goal is to add quality to the lives of individuals in your community in order to support their ability to live as independent as long as possible in their homes. We are looking for volunteers and have a variety of opportunities available!

Energy Assistance Program

Financial assistance to maintain utility services.

Weatherization

Provides an energy audit of your home and helps provide ways to save energy.

Area IV Pre-school – White County

Area IV’s full day pre-school provides developmentally sound early childhood curriculum and Level 4 Paths to Quality rating for licensed child care.

Family Development Support Program

Consultants help low income families achieve self-sufficiency.

Men’s Suit Give-away Program

Provides gently-used suits, jackets or slacks for job interviews, etc.

EnhanceFitness Program

A group fitness program with exercises specifically designed for older adults.

Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Conditions

A 6-week workshop focused on managing chronic health conditions effectively.

Matter of Balance Workshops

A fall-prevention program teaching ways to reduce fall risks and increase balance.

Affordable Housing Development

Housing projects to provide low-cost housing for all ages.

Housing Choice Voucher Program

Rental assistance for low-income persons.

Hot meals delivered to home for persons over age 60 who are homebound.

Nutrition Sites for Older Adults

Locations for older adults to receive a balanced hot meal and socialization.

Senior Farmers Market Voucher Program

Vouchers to help persons over age 60 purchase fresh fruits and vegetables.

Community and Senior Centers

Centers where older adults may go for socialization, recreation and meals.

Financial Legal Counseling – D. Rosenthal

Free counseling to help identify your options for your financial situation.

Indiana Legal Services

Legal assistance for persons over age 60 funded by the Older American’s Act.

Nursing Home Ombudsman

An advocate for persons living in long-term care facilities.


Speaker’s Bureau

Opportunities to learn about age or disability-related services.

CPR Classes

A fee-based educational program offering CPR classes to your staff.
