Community Transportation

Through a partnership with seven Town Councils, volunteers provide affordable, cost effective, public transportation to persons living in Boswell, Brookston, Clarks Hill, Flora, Hillsboro, Rossville, Waveland and immediate surrounding areas. Lift vans available.

HOPE Transit (Helping Our Passengers Everyday)


Area Served: Benton County

Population Served: Persons over age 60, or persons with mobility impairments and eligible Medicaid recipients.
Services:

  • Donations accepted
  • Hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Call during office hours 24 hours in advance of need
  • Provides transportation assistance for all medical trips.
  • On Tuesdays and Thursdays may be reached at Federated Church in Oxford 765-385-1042. On Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays, please call the Area IV offices at 800-382-7556 to schedule an appointment.

All of the following transportation programs provide these services:
Population served: Open to public based on available seating, wheelchair accessible

Services: All-volunteer public transportation program. Can be used for all kinds of personal business. Can be used as often as needed.

  • Call for appointment.
  • Contributions accepted. No fee.
  • Availability – 24 hours, 7 days a week
  • Some prescheduled trips

Boswell Area Transit (BAT) Van

Area Served: Towns of Boswell, Oxford, Ambia, Dunnington, Chase, Tab, and Talbot in Benton county

Brookston & Chalmers Community Van

Area Served: Brookston, Chalmers, and anywhere within the Frontier School District in White county.

Rossville Area Transit

Area Served: Rossville school district, including towns of Rossville, Pyrmont, Sedalis, Geetingsville, Owasco, Moran, and Edna Mills in Clinton County.

The Friendship Express

Area Served: towns of Clarks Hill, Stockwell, Romney or anywhere within Lauramie Township in rural Tippecanoe County.

The Omni Express

Area Served: Residents of Browns Township, including towns of Waveland, Browns Valley, Russellville, and New Market in Montgomery County.

Reach Out Community Van

Area Served: Towns of Hillsboro, Newtown, Wallace, Mellott or immediate surround areas in Fountain County.

**NEW**Garden Spot Express

Area Served: Flora and all of Monroe Township in Carroll County.
