Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program
The Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) provides low-income seniors with coupons that can be exchanged for eligible foods at farmers’ markets, roadside stands, and community supported agriculture (CSA) programs. SFMNP checks can be used to buy a variety of fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables for your family.
Low-income seniors, generally defined as individuals who are at least 60 years old and who have household incomes of not more than 185% of the Federal poverty income guidelines are eligible to receive SFMNP benefits.

You can redeem your FMNP checks at authorized farmers’ markets and farm stands mid-June through mid-October.

Senior Meals and Nutrition
For any number of reasons from financial to physical limitations, many seniors and people with disabilities in Lafayette and throughout West Central Indiana face challenges to eating regular, healthy meals every day.
Area IV Agency, in collaboration with Meals on Wheels Greater Lafayette and Mid-Land Meals, offers appetizing, nutritionally balanced meals that are vital to sustaining health and quality of life.
Meals on Wheels Greater Lafayette and Mid-Land Meals delivers freshly prepared, frozen meals to seniors living in Tippecanoe County and the surrounding West Central Indiana counties, Monday through Friday. To receive these meals, individuals should be homebound and unable to prepare meals, have limited mobility or support systems, and be 60 years or older or the spouse of someone age 60 or older.
