Organizational Payee Program
The Area IV Organizational Payee Program is a Social Security Administration (SSA) fee-for-service payee program. Our organization has been appointed by the SSA to receive Social Security payments for individuals who cannot manage their money.
Payee Program staff work with clients to develop a monthly spending plan for their Social Security benefits to create a stable living environment and ensure that the basic needs of food, shelter, clothing and medical care are met. Our clients receive regular payments for food and spending each month based on their monthly spending plan.
The only program requirement is that potential clients receive Social Security benefits of some type: Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Social Security Disability (SSD) or Social Security Retirement Benefits.
